Wizardry Thread

Got to play the PSX Llylgamyn Saga version a few days ago.

It's surprisingly good, probably the best version of the classic trilogy I've ever played, the broken Engrish makes it even better.
Both art, music and menu layouts are great, the dungeon graphics are also surprisingly good, even better than later Wizardry clones like Elminage.

Retro Gaming and Emulation in the Modern World

!!xT87mMBjYxH No.2461974 ViewReplyOriginalReport
In the age of Titan-fall/Dota stands a wall that holds back progress - Retro Gaming.

Do you believe that this is what the creators of these games you claim better then newer ones would want you to do? Do you think back when they were making Doom, Sonic the Hedgehog and Donkey Kong they would want you to hail these games as the best ever made when the technology the coders back then could only dream about exists now and all you claim is we should go back to our roots with graphics that barely represent the images the designers wanted?

You all sicken me.

Can anyone explain to me how this shit is NOT like bronies?

Bronies:
>like everything bright and colorful
>ponyisms like "everypony" and "anypony", referring to hair as "mane", etc.
>draw pony versions of everything, especially characters from other cartoons and video games
>random interjections like MUFFINS! and TWENTY PERCENT COOLER!
>creepily sexualizing the childlike characters, despite being at least twice as old as the intended target demo
>try to defend their neotenous obsession by stuttering out "d-deep lore, i-it's for all ages"

Splatoon fans:
>like everything bright and colorful
>squid-isms like "inkredible" and "tentacular", referring to hair as "tentacles", etc.
>draw squid versions of everything, especially characters from other cartoons and video games (pic related)
>random interjections like SPLATATATAT! and YOU'RE A KID NOW!
>creepily sexualizing the childlike characters, despite being at least twice as old as the intended target demo
>try to defend their neotenous obsession by stuttering out "d-deep lore, i-it's for all ages"

How can you look at Splatoon, even LOOK at it, and not cringe? Let alone fucking play it?

How accurate is the PS1 emulator in the PS2 slim hardware? Is it worth getting a PSOne if I already have a PS2 Slim?
