Dreamcast Thread: ReviveDC no more edition

No.2459402 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Release google spreadsheet link:

How come nobody talks about this game? All I kept hearing about it was "Ugly Graphics" but I'm having a pretty great time with it.

Sountrack's pretty good, it's no Wave Race but it's nice nontheless.

The New York track has some pretty good wave work going on, and I like the fact that you can hear the cop cars and the subway passing by.

I also hear the characters show up in Shenmue 2 as figurines, that's pretty cool.

CRT Thread - 2 Tired 4 Puns

No.2437383 ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
Previous thread - >>2411195

This thread is for the spirited discussion of CRT displays - Televisions, monitors and projectors used for the playing of retro games!

These past few threads have been great, keep it up!

>Try to keep it /vr/-related: Nothing past 5th gen(+Dreamcast). Slight OT might be okay if related to CRTs (E.G. 16:9 compatible models, flatscreens, etc.) Systems with backwards compatibility are also pretty safe territory, assuming you're focusing on the older games. PC CRTs are also a-ok.
>Produce OC! Get out your real cameras and take beautiful pictures of your CRTs displaying recognizable characters with the kind of beautiful accuracy that brings tears to the eyes of young and old alike! If you take 100 photos, at least one of them will turn out alright!
>Try to be as detailed as possible when asking info on a specific model. As always, google is your friend, and we are your friends with benefits. Older archived threads aren't a bad place to look either.
>Share appreciation for others choice of technology and personal philosophy of gaming. As always show courtesy in your discussion and moderate yourselves first.

Is Clock Tower actually a good series? I came across the fan translation, play it some and just was not anything worthwhile.

/Sa·Ga/ Thread

No.2333864 ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
Bad Cops Edition

>What is SaGa?
It's a Jrpg series produced by Akitoshi Kawazu back in the early Final Fantasy days, however it differs from most other Jrpg series by being more Wrpg oriented, it's non-linear, with multiple main characters, multiple endings and very unusual mechanics based on classic Tabletop RPGs
>What are the games?
The first SaGa games are known in the west as Final Fantasy Legends, so chances are you played those in your childhood on ye olde brick GB, then there is the Romancing SaGa trilogy on the SNES, the two SaGa Frontier titles on the PS One and Minstrel Song(a remake of the first Romancing SaGa) and Unlimited: Saga on the PS2.
>What are the games I can play in English
All the FFL titles were localized, same with the PS One and PS2 titles, there is also an english patch for Romancing SaGa 3 but unfortunately the first two titles are still in Japanese only, though there are already translation projects in the works.
>Gimme some links dammit!
